Get Involved

As we seek to create a Culture of Action, we rely on the support of individuals, corporations and foundations to help us achieve it. Whether you’re volunteering at an event, sharing a skill, advocating for an issue, giving to a cause or supporting a local program, you are contributing to the mission of Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation by ensuring a community of lifesavers.

Get involved with us by volunteering, supporting The Foundation or advocacy.

Volunteer

Volunteers play an integral role at Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation – helping us build stronger communities and helping us achieve our vision. There are many ways you can get involved as a volunteer with Gwyneth’s Gift:

Whatever your skill set, we have a role for you!

Become A Sponsor

When you donate to Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation, 100% of your donation goes directly into our community programs. Our sponsors make it possible for us to train individuals in life-saving skills, educate the public on the importance of Hands-Only CPR, and place additional AEDs in the community and across the Commonwealth.

Advocacy

Through advocacy, we can create a positive influence and drive change on behalf of our community. Gwyneth’s Gift co-founders Joel and Jennifer Griffin have taken part in such roles. Together in 2013, they established Gwyneth’s Law requiring AED placement in all public schools and mandatory CPR training for public school teachers and graduating high school seniors. In 2014, Jennifer helped pass Breanna’s Law in Maryland which requires CPR Training for all graduating high school seniors. Gwyneth’s Law and Breanna’s Law are examples of Culture of Action and helping to create a world where everyone can save a life.

Here are community programs that we proudly support.

PulsePoint is an app that empowers citizens to help reduce the millions of annual deaths from sudden cardiac arrest by working with public safety agencies to improve communications within their community.

The HEARTSafe Program is a community program designed to promote survival from sudden out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. The HEARTSafe Community initiative currently includes Fredericksburg, King George, Stafford, Powhatan County, and greater Williamsburg.

Mended Little Hearts is a national and community-based non-profit organization offering the gift of hope to heart disease patients, their families, and caregivers since 2004 by providing services that directly improve quality of life.
