Our Programs

Cardiac arrest claims more lives than breast cancer, prostate cancer, influenza, auto accidents, firearms and house fires combined. At Gwyneth's Gift Foundation, we are working to provide specific practices that build and reinforce life-saving skills for those suffering from cardiac arrest.

We accomplish this through our programs of CPR & AED Training, AED Placement, our Scholarship Award and Awareness Program.

CPR & AED Training

Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on someone in sudden cardiac arrest can double or triple their chance of survival. We’re helping strengthen our communities out-of-hospital survival rates with Hands-Only CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training events.

AED Placement

During a cardiac arrest, using an Automated External Defibrillator (AEDs) is the only way to restore the heart to a normal rhythm. Our team is committed to expanding access of AEDs by utilizing fundraising capabilities and partnerships to deploying devices across businesses and public facilities across the Commonwealth.

Gwyneth’s Gift Scholarship Award

Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation awards graduating high school seniors a scholarship each year. These applicants best exemplify the virtues that most represent Gwyneth Griffin – compassion, service, leadership, determination, and acceptance. The Foundation has awarded nearly $70,000 in eight years to exceptional Stafford County High School Seniors.  The 2024 Scholarship Application will be opened in November 2024. All applications with recommendations are due no later than March 5, 2025.

Awareness Program

Through Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation’s Awareness Program, we seek to partner with civic groups, local EMS, grassroots organizations, and private businesses to bring awareness of a bystander’s ability to save a life.
