Fredericksburg, VA: Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation is once again a recipient of the Transurban’s Fredericksburg Extension Community Grant Program. This grant, awarded to organizations who implement projects that sustain, enhance, or protect residents, the community and/or environment along the Fred Ex corridor, will be applied to Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation’s programming.
The Foundation currently manages four unique programs:
- Hands-Only CPR and AED Training
- AED Distribution
- Scholarships
- Awareness
“We are grateful to be on the receiving end of the Fred Ex Community Grant Program,” said Heather Muir, Development Manager for Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation. “Every dollar makes a difference. We appreciate Transurban’s support and believing in our mission to create a world where everyone can save a life.”
In a year where the pandemic halted all in-person gatherings and events, the Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation Team persevered to make a positive impact on the community. In 2020 alone the Foundation trained over 1,800 individuals in Hands-Only CPR and use of an AED, distributed 19 AEDs into the community, awarded scholarships to four graduating High-School Seniors, and attended 11 awareness events.
As 2021 quickly approaches, Gwyneth’s Gift Foundation looks forward to enhancing their programs and cultivating a Culture of Action throughout the New Year and beyond. One hundred percent of the funding the Foundation receives goes directly into the Foundation’s programs that help keep our residents safe.
